You can book a specific date or offer it as a gift (buy a gift certificate option). Anticipating your booking is the best option to ensure availability on the date you want to fly, especially for a date in high season (from May to September). We will do our best to respond positively to your demands according to our availability.

About this experience

The 2-hour Adventure balloon flight invites you to live a unique and amazing experience over Catalonian landscapes. You will discover, from the sky, the countryside of Catalonia, beautiful valleys, and emerald forests between Barcelona and the Pyrenees. You will be floating in the air for 2 hours—a much longer flight than our standard tours—and finish the adventure with a brunch in a typical Catalan restaurant. Based on the weather forecast, we choose the takeoff site on the day, keeping the launch field a secret until the last moment... this is a real adventure!

Activity's description

The activity starts at dawn with passenger pickup at the meeting point. You will then be transferred in our 4WD vehicle to the takeoff site. Once there, passengers can help the crew prepare and inflate the balloon. When it’s ready, we take off for a two-hour flight, letting the wind guide our path over the Catalan landscapes. During the flight, you can enjoy a glass of Cava. The landing marks the end of our ride; the 'chase crew' will collect the balloon and the passengers to transfer everyone to a local restaurant for brunch. To finish, passengers will receive a first flight certificate signed by the pilot.

Days of activity & Availabilities

We operate all year long, every days if weather permits. on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. For safety reason, the balloon flight is operated once a day, by the morning only, just after sunrise. Starting time varies according to season and booked date, on summer at 6:00 am and winter at 8:00 am. The whole activity lasts 5-hours in total, including a 2-hour balloon ride.

Prices for a hot air balloon flight

We offer a SHARED flight with other passengers in the same balloon, and the possibility to make a PRIVATE flight (only you in the balloon with the pilot). As an additional service, we also offer a transfer service from Barcelona city, pick up and drop off, for those who have no cars to reach the flying area.

The activity includes

- Flight organization, the ballooning team (pilot+crew member).
- Third party insurance according to European law Nº785/2004.
- Briefing, preparation and inflation of the balloon.
- Hot air balloon flight of approx. 2 hour in duration.
- Cava toast and soft drinks on board.
- Landing, balloon and passengers recovery by the chase crew.
- Transfer in 4WD vehicle from and to meeting point in Vic city.
- Brunch in a typical local restaurant.
- Delivery of first flight certificates signed by the pilot.

Optional Pick up service from BARCELONA city

We offer a transfer service from Barcelona, pick up and drop off from the famous Plaza Cataluña (Catalonia Square) centrally located. You will be driven in our vehicle directly to the flying area, then first stopped in a cafeteria for a quick coffee break before heading to the launch site.

Pick up point in Barcelona : in front of the Hard Rock Café Barcelona (Pl. de Catalunya). Pick up time : 06.00 or 06.30 or 07.00 am (exact time to be confirmed according to booked date). Drop-off time : between 11:30 and 13:00 according to season and booked date.

If you are a group, we can study a pick up directly at your hotel/accomodation in Barcelona, just inquire at moment of booking.

Hot air balloon flight over Catalonia

The exact launch site remains a secret until the last moment, as we always seek the best possible flight path. Depending on the wind and the magic of the weather, you may soar over Montserrat, Pla de Busa, or the Sau Reservoir. You’ll also enjoy views of the Cadí Range, Montseny, and the Pyrenees. We will meet at a central point in Vic, and from there, our 4x4 vehicles will take you to the day's chosen takeoff field,

Location : central Catalonia, located 45min / 70km North of Barcelona. Meeting point in Vic : cafeteria Nou Pamplona or cafeteria Zèfir. Useful information

Specific Cancellation Policy for non-residents

Should weather conditions be unsuitable on the day of the flight, you may reschedule or receive a full refund (excluding non-refundable gift certificates). This must be requested at the time of booking.

Flying season

In Catalonia, it is possible to fly all year long. In fact, flying in winter offers some interesting advantages for the passengers: the weather is generally more stable what allows a longer flight and you can get up later as dawn takes place later in the morning.

Good weather condition for a good flight

Hot-air ballooning is weather dependent. To ensure the flight, we absolutely need to have weak winds (less than 20 kmph) and no rain. In case of unsuitable weather conditions we would offer to passengers alternatives dates.

Restriction

A hot-air balloon ride is a very safe activity but in order for our passengers to avoid running any risk, we advise pregnant women and children under 6 not to fly.

Give the balloon ride as a Gift (Open date ticket valid 1-year)

The GIFT CERTIFICATE is an open date voucher for a balloon ride. This is the best option if you want to offer the activity as a gift and let the participants decide their flying date. The gift certificate is valid 1 year from date of purchase, can be customized with a personal message, is delivered immediatly by E-mail and ready-to-print.
