About this experience

Our Family 1-hour hot air balloon ride is designed for families to experience the activity together. With a maximum of 8 passengers, it offers the advantage of discounted rates for parents with their children. The basket is spacious enough to ensure you feel comfortable and completely safe. It is the ideal cost-effective option for your first hot air balloon flight.

Activity's description

The activity starts at dawn with the picking up of the passengers at the meeting point. Then, the passengers have the opportunity to help during the preparation of the flight: the setting and inflation of the balloon. When the balloon is up, we take off for a ride which will last more than an hour. The wind is the master of our way up the Catalonian landscapes. The landing marks the end of our ride. The "chase crew" comes to collect the balloon and the passengers. Then we all come back to the launchfield and celebrate the balloon experience with a Cava toast and a surprising special brunch. To finish passengers will eventually receive a first flight certificate signed by the pilot.

Days of operation and Availabilities

Thanks to favorable weather conditions in Catalonia, we operate balloon rides all year long, during the week (on monday, tuesday, thursday and friday) and the week-end (saturday and sunday). We operate one flight per day, by the morning only, just after sunrise. Starting time varies according to season, on summer at 7:00 am and winter at 8:00 am. The whole activity lasts 3-hours in total, including a balloon flight of 1-hour up to 1-hour-1/4 in duration. Just contact us and we confirm you the availabilities.

Prices for this hot air balloon flight

We offer a very special price for the parents willing to fly with their children under 12 y.o. We also offer a transfer service from Barcelona city for those who have no vehicles to reach the flying area.

Prices and Options

The activity includes

- Flight organization, the ballooning team (pilot+crew member).
- Third party insurance according to European law Nº785/2004.
- Briefing, preparation and inflation of the balloon.
- Hot air balloon flight up to 1 hour 1/4 in duration.
- Landing, balloon and passengers recovery by the chase crew.
- Transfer back to the launchfield in 4x4.
- Cava toast, soft drinks and a surprising meal at the landing spot.
- Delivery of first flight certificates signed by the pilot.

Optional Pick up service from BARCELONA city

We offer a transfer service from Barcelona, pick up and drop off from the famous Plaza Cataluña (Catalonia Square) centrally located. You will be driven in our vehicle directly to the flying area, then first stopped in a cafeteria for a quick coffee break before heading to the launch site.

Pick up point in Barcelona : in front of the Hard Rock Café Barcelona (Pl. de Catalunya). Pick up time : 06.00 or 06.30 or 07.00 am (exact time to be confirmed according to booked date). Drop-off time : between 11:30 and 13:00 according to season and booked date.

If you are a group, we can study a pick up directly at your hotel/accomodation in Barcelona, just inquire at moment of booking.

When flying at low altitude, you will discover the historical city centre of Vic from the sky. Specific Cancellation Policy for non-residents

Should weather conditions be unsuitable on the day of the flight, you may reschedule or receive a full refund (excluding non-refundable gift certificates). This must be requested at the time of booking.

Flying season

In Catalonia, it is possible to fly all year long. In fact, flying in winter offers some interesting advantages for the passengers: the weather is generally more stable what allows a longer flight and you can get up later as dawn takes place later in the morning.

Good weather condition for a good flight

Hot-air ballooning is weather dependent. To ensure the flight, we absolutely need to have weak winds (less than 20 kmph) and no rain. In case of unsuitable weather conditions we would offer to passengers alternatives dates.

Restriction

A hot-air balloon ride is a very safe activity but in order for our passengers to avoid running any risk, we advise pregnant women and children under 6 not to fly.

The GIFT CERTIFICATE is an open date voucher for a balloon ride. This is the best option if you want to offer the activity as a gift and let the participants decide their flying date.
